Recently, I read an article that listed all of the things you should do to bring joy and light to your surroundings. I was surprised to find that I do these things every single day! I purposely create the environment I want to be in.
Everything is always vibrating, everything. Electrons, the cells in our bodies, rocks, stars, trees, healing crystals, people...everything vibrates. It is believed that when our vibrational energy is moving fast or high, we feel light, joyful, elated. When our vibrational energy is low we feel dark, lethargic, heavy. In order to raise your vibrational energy, you have to do things that make you feel good. Make it a point to do as many things as you can to make yourself feel good and shy away from things or people who drain your energy. Sometimes, you can use your energy to charge or elevate other people but you have to make it a point to charge yourself as well.
A couple of years ago I read a book by Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now. That book helped me to change to way I see my life. Each second is a new 'now'. I was challenged to write down 100 things I was grateful for. Initially, I could not come up with 100 things or people I was grateful for. I had to change the way I thought about my life. Each and every second is as important as my heart, each lung, every blood vessel, and every person who helped to make me a better person. Now I am well past 100!!! How many things make you happy? How many things in your life are you grateful for?
I am constantly burning candles, incenses, and oil burners. I love things that smell good, so I always have an aroma that I find pleasing. I have music playing constantly in at least one room of my home. If I hear a song I like, I run in that room and dance until I'm tired. What makes you feel good? What brings you joy? What makes you smile?
